Suggest Remedy For Dry Lips

Greetings, I need help. I have dry lips. I did researched ways on how to treat it. I already tried almost everything they suggests like, the honey, the exfoliate, I also don t think I was dehydrated, I always protect it from the wind and weather specially when I m outdoor. But still it keeps on drying and flaking. Throughout the summer I didn t put anything thinking that maybe if I let it be it would cure by itself but it did not. I don t know what to do anymore pls. help. I asked dermatologist and they gave me hydrocortisone still not working. Please help. Good day.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain in case if you have dry lips but you do not experience any pain or redness which indicate that you do not have any infection or inflammation the best way to keep them lubricated to apply a thick coat of Petroleum jelly or lip balm containing beeswax over it as it will stay for a longer duration and keep the lips greased and protected..

You can also apply alovera gel as it does not contain chemicals and will protect the lips and seal moisture..

You can apply cold packs over the lips by wrapping ice in a cotton cloth as it will absorb heat and provide a soothing and cooling effect..

Always apply SPF 15 containing lip balms over the lips when going out into sun..

Do not suck the lips for wetting them as it can further take moisture away from it..

At home also if possible use a Humidifier..

Avoid using lip products with high chemical content..

Scrubbing of lips too often and vigorously should be avoided as it can have a negative effect on the lips..

At night clean and pat dry your lips and apply milk fat over the lips or glycerine or a thick coat of petroleum jelly as these will stay adhered on lips and help in preventing dryness..

Hope this information helps..
