Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. The problems occur in basically every part of the nervous system. A first part would be to actually document how bad the worst parts actually are. Actual measurement of the not sleeping, the not breathing, and other autonomic problems can all be documented with a sleep study. It is quite possible to have something needing artificial ventilation or.... more commonly... just some mild anti-anxiety medicines. Cannot say in your particular situation.. which is why, the tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
