Suggest Remedy For Crusty Spot Son Belly Button

I have had a small growth/spot about 2 mm in width in my belly button for years and in the past few months has hardened and is rubbing against the opposite wall of my bellybutton at times. My bellybutton constantly is moist or crusty ! What is this and how can I get rid of it? It s painful at times!

The lesions can occur because of crusting as a result of poor hygiene. Poor hygiene can result in accumulation of keratin leading to crusting.Dry to clean the affected area with water at least twice in a day.Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area if the crusting is too much. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
