Suggest Remedy For Cough And Cold In A Child
I have a girl child of 2years 10 months, she is around 19 Kgs. She is generally very healthy and active but for the last 15 days her cold and cough seems to persist. The doc checked and adviced cough surup,, frst piritron and if that di not show any results switch to Koflet, so we did. But its been another 5 days and the cough is getting worse. Can we give her Azitrhal 200mg (5ml) for 3 days? will that help?

Your child has cough for almost 2 weeks, this could be allergic rhinitis or tonsillitis. Allergic rhinitis occurs due to allergy to dust or cold water etc and you need to avoid these things. Tonsillitis can also lead to persistent cough and generally antibiotic needs to be given in this. In my opinion, you should give syrup amoxyclav (5 ml=200 mg) 5 ml three times a day for three days and continue cough syrup. review after2 days. Take care.
