Suggest Remedy For Cold And Coughing
My 57 year old husband has a purple / black line on his left eyelid. It looks as though he has put eye-liner on but it isn't that. He has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure and is on medication for it. He has a cold and has been coughing a lot. Thank you

In this age essential hypertension is seen among most of the people. As medication has been started, regular medication and follow up will make it controlled.
The mostly seen cause behind cough and cold is sore throat of viral origin. The measures are
1. Taking an antihistaminic drug,
2. Using warm saline for gurgle,
3. Decrease exposure to dry, dusty weather,
4. Take some lemon juice frequently ( it will decrease the recurrence by improving local immunity),
5. If it is dry cough some throat soothing agent or cough suppressant will be helpful.
6. In case of productive cough a mucolytic agent wiil be useful.
The line on the eye lid without suggesting symptom can be assessed by examining properly.
