Hello,
I went through your question and understand your concern.
If you have genital thrush infection and it comes back you will need oral treatment for thrush infection and some women will need regular take the antifungal tablet (drug against thrush) to have it under control. Another thing to take in consideration is having blood sugar levels checked- women with diabetes have more frequent genital thrush infection and treatment of diabetes improves it.
There are other causes of genital itchyness: dermatitis is one- using soaps or solution for washing down there might be a source of allergy and irritation so it is better to just wash with warm water as often as needed and avoid intima solutions or soaps there even though the producer says it is hypoallergic or good PH. Allergy to daily pads is an option if you use them.
Eczema is another cause of genital itchiness so you will need to speak with your doctor if this is possibly the diagnosis and consider local steroids if he/she agrees.
Bowel parasites can cause bad genital itchiness- occiure are small white warms of 1 cm in length and if you have noticed them you need treatment for it. Even if other members in the family have them (but you have not noticed them with your stools) you will need treatment because they are very contagious.
A check for genital lice is important also. it can cause a lot of distress.
If you have itchyness in other parts of the skin (arms, axilla, thighs and low abdomen) scabies might be a possibility and you might need treatment for it.
A more rare cause but hard to verify is anxiety (we consider it if all the other causes are ruled out). Use cotton underwear, avoid chemicals even soaps and solution for hygiene, avoid vaginal douches, and if the other causes are ruled out you might need to consider the diagnosis of anxiety.
Consider this list and speak with your medical provider to have a definite diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question
