Suggest Remedy For Cellulitis On Lower Leg

Hello, I have cellulitis on my lower leg, no pus, a swollen palm size area(hot and tender to touch), 2 little superficial coin size wounds that are not healing properly. I was given flucloxacillin(250mgx4/day for 1week). After a week break I was given flucloxacillin(500mgx4/day for 3 weeks). Hardly any change. I was offered clindamycin but I am scared of side effects. What can I take to get rid of this infection? Thank you.

Hi, lower limb infections are very notorius regarding the cure because of less blood supply in comparison to other vascular areas. What about blood sugar? If it is okay then pus culture and sensitivity should be done to find out type of infection and sensitivity to a particular antibiotics. Antibiotics should be taken in adequate doses for a shorter period. Hit and trial method should not be adopted.
