Suggest Remedy For Bumps On Throat And Chronic Cough In A Child

My six year old has bumps on her throat and she has had a cough for months now which has gotten worse, cough meds don t help I used them and pure warm honey. Her cough is weird and loud and sound like a sneeze. We recently found out she had scabies after a long 2 year fight with doc saying it was ezema. My whole house has it and we are currently in process of treatment but focusing on everybody being treated at once to avoid reinfestation, my daughter has the crusted Norwegian scabies I guess her immune system isn t to good cause the rest of the house but has regular scabies hers is a bad case, do you think having scabies for 2 years and all that they so under the skin has some effect and maybe gave her bacteria infection some where and being her immune system is not great has helped cause this, the cough is just too long. Not getting better with anything. Doctors are just diagnosing with no test and prescribing zyrtec but no change I need help bad with this cough. She is suffering bad a sever cough that hurts when she swallow and pain in throat with no other symptoms. Norwegian crusted scabies where she itches 24/7 every where. Thank God after finally being referred to dermatologist after forcing it but the cough is still a question, what could it be what can I do

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the swelling on throat on outer surface most likely represent cervical lymph node enlargement secondary to long standing unresolving cough or recurrent upper or lower respiratory tract infection.

* There can be possible issues of granulomatous disorder allergic bronchitis low immunoglobulin status or hypocomplementenemia lack of iron and vitamins.

* If his available reports of x-ray chest complete hemogram with ESR are available with you, kindly send them to me immediately for best possible revert.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
