Respected Sir, hi according to your narration it seems to be minor inflammatory reaction or superficial thrombophlebitis, its not normal but not dangerous to worry also. apply ice over the affected part 3-4 times a day. if more pain then analgesic tablets can be taken otherwise not needed. If associated with fever or more swelling should get clinical check up by a physician dear thanks regards
