Suggest Remedy For Bleeding From Ear Piercing Site

I just took out my earrings and the hole started to bleed. I've had my ears pierced for about 7 years, but the earrings I was wearing are new ones I bought, I cleaned them with rubbing alcohol before I put them on. Is my piercing infected? or is it perfectly fine?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain there is a possibility that you have got an allergic reaction to the metal of which the earring is made up of..
In case if the earrings are not made of gold or plastic other metals can react with air and water when exposed to air and water and get decomposed and the decomposition products can lead to allergic reaction with the skin.
Other cause can be infection..

I would suggest you to clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a combination of steroid and antibiotic ointment over the earlobe..
Do cool compresses over the ear lobe..
You should also avoid scratching the earlobe if it itches..
Keep the area dry and clean..

Once it heals it will be better to wear gold and plastic earrings as they do not cause reaction..
