I'm heading towards my middle 30s and have a 1-year old toddler. In the last 6-mo, I noticed that my skin on my face is changing. I've been developing small ache that would dry up and turn into brown spots. Again it's be agressive just withing that last 6-mo. Any idea what is happenning?
You seem to have adult onset acne along with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Though acne is commonly believed to happen in younger age group like teens but that is not always true, as acne can affect people well into there 30's and even 40's, known as adult acne.
Topical treatment of acne mainly centers around topical antibacterials like clindamycin gel or Nadifloxacin gel, topical benzoyl peroxide gel and topical retinoids.
While antibacterials and benzoyl peroxide would help in controlling inflammatory papules and pustules of acne, topical retinoids are comedolytic and would prevent new acne formation.
Retinoids would also lighten the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation resulting from acne.
