As you have mentioned about trauma to the lip, this red lump is most likely a hematoma.
Nothing is to be done as it resorbs spontaneously.
Try to avoid such trauma again.
Use lip balm regularly twice in a day, so that there is no dryness.
Watch for if infection sets in as indicated by fever.
Antibiotics are needed in this situation with your doctor's opinion.
