I was hit tonight by a heavy wooden garden chess piece hard on my inner left ankle, right on the bone a small brise immediately appeared...I now have a burning and throbbing sensation there and the outside of my ankle is painful when I try to rotate my foot, what would this be

That must only be a blunt injury to your ankle. Nothing to be worried about this. In the mean time, You can take some pain relievers or you can pursue homoeopathic treatment for it. It can abolish the pain in a natural way.
