General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the weight loss is unintentional and you are not purposely altering your eating habits, then you need to be assessed by your doctor.

Unintentional weight loss always needs investigation. This includes physical examination and blood tests such as complete blood count and ESR at least. ESR is a non specific inflammatory marker, it goes up in response to any inflammation in the body but does not give the specific cause eg trauma, allergies, infection, cancer, autoimmune disease

In terms of the recurrent pain, it is possible that it may be neuralgia which is nerve related pain due to abnormal function of the nerves (peripheral neuropathy).
It may be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes.

Since you have a history of spinal disease, it is possible that it may be related to trauma to the nerves in the spine that supply this area. Imaging would be needed.

I hope this helps
