Suggest Remedies For Sinus Infection

I had a sinus infection back in April & they gave me Doxycycline, it s never really gone away. I could feel it in my throat (like a wheezing, kind of). Its progressively gotten worse. It would be like I had to (spit a hocker), but it wouldn t come up. Recently it s gotten to the point where my equilibrium is off and it s making me nauseous. I also have noticed that it s hard to pee, which is something I ve never had an (UTI); but I ve known people at work that have had them. I did the NettiPot tonight & it took the whole thing because my sinuses are that clogged. I plan on going to the CVS Minute Clinic tomorrow. Is there anything else that I should be doing? Thanks. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to sinusitis or rhinitis.

For that you can apply nasal saline drops locally.

You may require antibiotics, complete hemogram after physician consultation.

Along with that do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day.

Keep your self hydrated.

Watch for symptoms like high grade fever, cough, sore throat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
