Suggest Remedies For Shortness Of Breath Along With Wheezing Sound

My grandma is a 73 year old female, she is having shortness of breath that is made worse by laying down, and is having sleep difficulty because of it. shes been a type II diabetic of 30 years, she smoked cigarettes all her life until she quit 3 years ago. she has a history of cervical cancer, which was 20 years ago. she worked in a wool factory until 5 years ago because she retired. she also has cyanosis in her fingernails. her RR is 10 and labored, her pulse is 90. her blood pressure is 130/78, her temperature is 98.6, she has labored breathing, a wheezing sound in her lungs and her neck muscles are tight from breathing.

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should take her to the Emergency Room because
1. She is having cynosis which is the sign of hypoxia
2. Laboured breathing means she is having shallow breathing, tiring for patient and also cause CO2 retention and type 2 respiratory failure.
So at this moment I think she needs intensive care in the form of urgent ECG, Chest x ray, Arterial Blood Gas analysis and ventilatory support.
So I advice you to consult emergency department as soon as possible.
