Suggest Remedies For Severe Abdominal Cramps During Menstruation

I always have more cramps on the first day of my period, but it seems like every time I use a tampon I get sick. One time I worried that I would faint and spent quite a bit of time laying on the floor with cold cloths all over. Another my cramps were so horrible that I ended up puking twice. Also when taking a tampon out I feel and burst of pain on the right side of my vagina(inside). When wearing a pad I seldom have cramps and my obly symptom is drowsiness. To clarify, I am a virgin and nothing but a tampon has ever gone inside my vagina. Is there an issue on the inside of me causing the burst of pain? And whats causing the sickness?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the use of tampons causes you discomfort it is best to avoid their use. Probably a local allergic reaction can make you have pain when applying or removing the tampon.
On the other hand, abdominal cramps and feeling unwell are usual symptoms with the periods. If they are very bothersome you may try combined oral contraception for a few months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
