Understanding your concern. As per your query you have purple discolouration of the tongue which seems to be due to on Coumadin as it is and anticoagulant and discoloration and swelling of tongue and face is its most potential side effect. Need not to worry. Visit oral physician once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. Visit general physician and get your dosage levels monitored and get an alternative course of medication as it is giving you potential side effects. Maniantin complete oral hygiene and avoid any sharp and spicy food.
