Suggest Remedies For Painful Hand Post An Injury

I work on vonstuction equipment, i was getting a bolt loose, when it loosened, i hit my hand on the steel body now I have a pretty good size long and it hurts real bad when I move it only reason I m asking is because I ve had a previous boxer s fracture should I see a doctor tonight or should I wait till tomorrow

Thanks for posting on HCM
Pain after a trauma of that sort is normal and you may not have to see the Doctor to get over it unless the trauma was too serious with may be a fracture.I will suggest you try the following:
-Take a pain drug like ibuprofen
-apply a pain gel like voltarene gel on the spot
-Cold pack placement
-You may use a bandage to hole the spot lightly
Observe till morning.If pain persist and swelling sets in, you see your Doctor for an X-ray to check if any fracture.If pain subsides, you just stay calm, rest well and avoid hurting the hand.
