General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After the colonoscopy, some patients do complain of pain; it can be due to injury to the urinary bladder during colonoscopy but commonly patients get a bacterial infection by E.Coli or Klebsiella after colonoscopy & hence get symptoms of UTI(pain on urination).

Visit ER, get physically examined. Get CBC, Urinalysis, R/E & C/S Urine done. You need antibiotics. For pain take Spasmol, one sos. Take care of your hygiene. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
