Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infection in the area of infection and reduced mouth opening or Trismus is due to it..
There is a possibility that the tooth was broken while extraction and not completely removed and is serving as a constant source of infection..
Swelling can also be due to infection that is lingering at the site of infection leading to pain and swelling along with reduced mouth opening..

I would suggest you to consult your treating Dentist or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised higher antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, betadine gargles, warm saline gargles..
Once the infection reduces and there is any left over tooth piece extraction of the same can help in faster resolution..
Do cool compresses over the cheek..
Try to gradually open the mouth as wide as possible to improve mouth opening..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
