Suggest Remedies For Lower Back Pain While Sleeping?

Hi, I get pain in the lower back while sleeping then doctor prescribed me pain killer. Pain has reduced now but I get pain on the sides and some time few seconds throbbing pain all over my body. Doctor said it can be a spasm. How can I rule out this not nothing more than a mere spasm?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history it may be due to strain of muscles. You can take tab Acetaminophen to reduce pain. Apply Diclofenac gel locally. You can use heating pads locally for relief.

Do physical exercises and mild stretches to avoid further complications after medical examination and consultation with your physician.

If you do not recover, your doctor may procure an X-ray and computed tomography. Till then keep your self well hydrated. Avoid stress and strain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale, Family and General Physician
