Suggest Remedies For Low BP

I usually have pretty low blood pressure. Like 96/70 or sometimes lower. I was out with friends and family and started feeling weird. Started drink water more and came home and blood pressure is 161/87 with pulse of 106. Is this something I should be concerned about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.

Your BP is surely on the lower side of the normal spectrum. But since you normally donot have any adverse symptoms from it, I would not be too concerned.

A BP of 160+ systolic is high, but I would like to have more values of BP taken at different time and under different circumstances before I can label it as abnormal.

Normally, BP undergoes ups and downs depending on the sympathetic response of the body.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr Geeta
