Suggest Remedies For Loose Stools And Vomiting

My boyfriend is having loose stools and vomiting. We all have eaten the same foods and no one else is ill so we have ruled out food poisoning. We were clearing out where our pool used to be and the ground had a strong methane smell. I know inhaling methane can cause reapitory distress but can it also cause digestive issues? I have tried googling this but no answer one way or the other. Assistance is appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swimming pool cleaner poisoning occurs when someone swallows this type of cleaner, touches it or breathes in its fumes. These cleaners contain chlorine and acids. Chlorine is more likely than the acids to cause serious poisoning. I suggest to breath in fresh air, drink plenty of water and consult with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
