Suggest Remedies For Irregular Periods Post Childbirth

Hi doctor. I m 28 years old female. I delivered a baby girl on 17 th Jan 2016. From March onwards I started having my regular periods but I missed the period in july n August . I was advised to take duphaston tablets twice daily by a doctor. After taking the medicine i had my periods on 30 th of Aug so accordingly my next periods was due on 30 th of September but still m not having it though m having all the signs of periods like slight abdominal pain, pain in leg s. I have taken the pregnancy test and it is negative so please advise..m really tensed.

Hello,

In lactating mothers having high levels of prolactin may cause absent or irregular periods. Don't worry, also check other possibilities like pid, anaemia or hypothyroidism etc.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
