Suggest Remedies For Extreme Hair Fall Due To Hormone Replacement Pills

I am 56 year old female and my scalp is starting to show from my thinning hair. I stopped Prozac 2 weeks ago but still take flexeril for TMJ and zanex for panic attacks and hormone replacement pills. What should I do? I have actual bald spots. I am scared!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Drug-induced baldness takes time to recover with time as the underlying homeostasis settles back to normal.

Till that time supportive therapy with antioxidants, multivitamins and local application of Morr ( 5 % ) solution will help to some extent. Have to avoid stress and smoking if involved.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
