Suggest Remedies For Discoloration, Swelling And Pain In Eyebrow Post An Injury
I fell and hit my brow bone really hard on a tile floor immediately it swelled up to almost a golf ball on my brow bone I applied ice on and off for a few hours and the bump was gone, but over the past few days my brow bone is a yellowish green but my eyelid top and lower and pretty much all the way to my cheek bone is a dark red purplish color but my eye brow bone which swelled and I hit looks less injured than the rest of my eye which I did not hit, is this typical of a fracture of the brow bone? And if by some chance I did fracture the brow bone what Is the procedure to fix it? Does it just heal on its own?
It would be better if you do a x-ray to just check for fractures. I don't believe that it can heal on its one but the doctor should immobilize it putting a cast. You should continue to put ice on it to reduce swelling. Also use ibuprofen for pain and swelling relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
