Suggest Remedies For Bruised Knee, With Burning Sensation

I recently tripped and fell very hard on my left knee. It was instantly swollen and bruised. I couldn't walk so I went to the ER the next day. They X-rayed my knee and it was fine. The doctor told me I just bruised it. It's been almost a week since then and my bruise has expanded. The area around my knee is also burning, especially when touched. What could be causing the burning sensation?

Hi..

As the x ray came out to be fine and there is no broken bones you need not to worry as the healing will take place soon..
You should do cool compresses over the area of pain and burning..
Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.
You can also apply Heparin gel as it helps in faster fading of the bruises..
You can also apply an analgesic and muscle relaxant ointment for relieving pain and burning..
You can also put a knee brace..
Elevate your leg while lying down..
In case if there in no improvement in a week consult an Orthopedician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
