Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For over a week, I've attempted to remove earwax from my left ear. I have tried every home remedy and yes, even the candle. It loosens up but still won't come out. My hearing is blocked and my balance is off. At times I feel dizzy and nauseous. I can't afford insurance at this time. And don't have $100+ to visit a doctor. PLEASE, what can I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blocked ears with dizzy feeling which seems to be due to ear wax accumulation, increase blood pressure and due to accoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with home remedies you can start with – • Breathe in steam vapors. • Put a warm, wet towel on your face. It might help relieve some of the pressure. • Use a nasal saline solution. • Drink lots of fluids.
If symptpms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. Start with proper course of antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
