My son is 8 yrs old and always has an upset stomach usually starting after school till bedtime. He will puke several times in a small amount. The puke is clear and has o chunks. Could this have something to do with season allergies? YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

As per your query, your child has symptoms of the upset stomach which seems to be due to infection of the gut, electrolyte imbalance in the body, food poisoning and intolerance.

Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids in the diet. Yo should avoid taking outside food. I would suggest you consult gastroenterologist once for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe loperamide, laxative, omeprazole and antacids. For now, give your child fruits like banana and a lot of fluid. You should take an oral rehydrating solution to maintain hydration status of the body. Take diet rich in fruits and multivitamins.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
