Suggest Remedies For Abdominal Discomfort While On Ranitidine And Pylobac

Am 32 year old male, i was diagnosed with Duodenal ulcers and was prescribed Pylobact, ranitidine and relcer gel. I have completed the one week pylobact and the pain has disappeared, but i still feel some burn and stomach discomfort.Am still taking the gel and ranitidine and following the dietary requirement. I wanted to know how long it will take to get healed? is the burn a side effect of the drugs or its still the ulcers? But the pain has gone away now. Thank you for your response.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. An endoscopy is required for further assessment. As of now PPI like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
