Suggest Remedies For A Swollen And Tender Elbow Post Injury

I slipped and fell about a month ago on my back after loosing my footing hitting my elbow on the way down on the edge of the sink. It was swollen and sore, tender to the touch at first; however I can move it totally, but it is still very tender to the touch and a little swollen. If I even barely bump, it is very painful, and I cannot put my elbow on a table or desk. Not sure if broken or bruised but wondering 1) how long should I expect it to heal, 2) should I have it x-rayed? I am a 57 year woman and in excellent health. I d rather not pay the high medical cost of an xray since my deductible is so high, but of course I will if that is what it will take to help prevent future adverse affects in the use of my arm. Thank you for your assistance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes, you need to get an xray done, to rule out fracture.
Also, get your blood sugar test done. In the mean time, you can start the following...
Tab. Chymoral Forte DS one tab thrice a day half an hour before meals.
Combination of Tab. Diclofenac sodium 50 mg and Serratiopeptidase 10 mg. Twice a day after food for 5 days.
Tab. Pantoprazole 40 once a day for 5 days.
Complete rest to the affected limb.
