Suggest Remedies For A Rash On The Arm Post An Injury

Hello, on August 1st I was using the hot glue gun and some wax got on my arm left me with a burn mark that eventually turned into a blister but the skin peeled off the next day leave due to forgetting to treat it and putting a band aid on. Since then I have a rash around it. The burn seems like it is healing but not quiet sure. It does look a lot better than before just really concerned about the rash.

Hello,

To help the rash heal avoid scratching, apply ointment Burnol or soframycin cream. Do not let it get infected.

To get rid of itching you can apply hydrocortisone cream. It should get well in 2-3 days. If not you may need a course of antihistamines & antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
