Suggest Proper Treatment For Krukenberg Tumor

Hello, I am 24 years old (25 in 2 months). I have Krukenberg tumor due to colon cancer. I will have a sugery soon to cut the part of the colon sick. The gyneco wants to cut my ovaries and my uterus. But I want to have babies later. I had a surgery 1 month ago due to a cyst at left ovary. The surgeon checked and said that the ovary is in health. The new gyneco wants to convince me to remove all my matrice. I seem in health, my others organs aren t sick. I want to know more about my disease. I am student in China and the doctors are chinese. Discussion with them is difficult. Thanks

Krukenberg tumor due to Colon cancer needs surgical removal without any doubts. It is the metastasis of colon carcinoma over the epithelial surface of the ovary leading to the ovarian mass. This condition requires removal of both ovaries for definite cure. There is role of radiotherapy in many of the clinical conditions of this type.

I can understand your hopes for future pregnancy, but the uterus can be preserved for future pregnancy. The intrauterine insemination with assisted reproductive techniques after your egg preservation before surgery is the best option for you to be mom in future.
