Suggest Precautions To Be Taken While Treating Adenoids In Children

My son is 4yrs 10 months old and has developed this adenoid problem. He is under medication. please tell me what precautions should he take so that it gets ok with medicines and doesnt have to undergo any surgery? what food to be taken & what exercise to be done?

Thanks for putting your query up at HealthCareMagic. In many children there is a tendency to catch cold, especially if the tonsils or adenoids are enlarged. The tonsils regress with age and unless the episodes of cough and cold occur several times each year, no surgical intervention is required. During the episodes, some antiallergic medicine and gurgle with lukewarm water may provide relief. Any sort of food may be given. Vitamin C may be given from time to time.
