Suggest Precautions To Be Taken To Avoid Diabetic Seizures
Hello my cousin has visited from Holland and last night had what seems to be a diabetic seizure. we managed to get her into the recovery position and she stopped. She seemed to be chocking on her tongue and in the process bit it. Are there any side effects of having a seizure? anything we should keep an eye on. She feels like she has a hang over today and is very tired. She hasnt been to see a dr - i tried to get her into my gp but they dont deal with temporary patients anymore, i called nene doctor to discuss and they said they couldnt see her as her problem was too serious. I then called nhs direct and they told me they couldnt do anything but give me advice - they didnt help... please can you offer me some advice? does she need to go get checked out, if so by who?
Dear Rebecca i can understand your concern. i am very sorry about the condition of your cousin In my opinion we cannot call this condition as diabetic seizure. in diabetes when blood sugar levels gets too low this can trigger the activity of seizure in patients who are already suffering from epilepsy. There are few things you need to look for 1.any family history of seizure? 2. is she stopped taking medications for seizures 3.is she taking any alcohol and smoking weed? 4.kindly let me know full prescription details.
in this kind of condition the best doctor you need to see neurologist. kindly let me know the above details for further discussion regards
