Suggest Precautions To Be Taken Post Hairline Fracture In Wrist

Hi, I was playing football yesterday and the game went in to penalty shootout. I was the goalkeeper for our team. during the last shot we were leading 2-1 and the opposition player was takung the last shot. He kicket the ball with so much power that when I raised my hand to stop it the ball did hit the hand but because of ghe force it started paining. I got the x-ray done and have been told that there is a hairline frature in the wrist. I have been keeping ghe hand wrapped under the crape bandage. J onky feel pain near the wrist in the middle portion where the dial od the wrist watch would be. No issued in finger movemenfs etc. Can u tell me if I need to get a cast also done and the precautions to be taken. I dont want this to aggravate.

After going through your query I concluded that you there are having hairline fracture in the wrist. You have not mentioned which of bone you got fracture. It will be safer to use a cast. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Calcium will help in healing.Vitamin B and C with be helpful in recovery. You can discuss with your Doctor about it.
