Suggest Precautions During Epilepsy
hi doctor. My friend aged 22 had eeg done yesterday. Doctor said she is suffering from epilepsy. Doctor prescribed zydus epsolin tablet.He said its starting. She had first fit at the age of 13. First two fits were in the gap of 4 years. Now she is having fits in gap of 4-5 months. What precautions should be taken. What the person nearby her should do when she has a fit. Can she study normally. She do very hard work in study. Should we allow her to live in the hostel for further studies.

Hi, following are the precautions to be taken at home -
Avoid taking baths.
Don’t use electrical appliances near water.
Keep interior doors unlocked .
Use caution with hot items .
In the school the teacher must be informed about the epilepsy and medicines .
She can study hard but should take proper rest in between and avoid night study.
Whenever the person has a fit , nearby person should turn her to one side and inform the doctor . Thanks
