Suggest Pain Killers For Glandular Fever
Can my daughter who is 18 take pain killers for Glandular fever? she has been prescribed Phenoxymethyl and has been taking these for three days and doesn t seem to be helping, Her glands are swollen and she is in pain with her glands all over her body. What strong pain killers can she take?

yes ,she can take pain killer e.g; paracetamol thrice a day after food.
if not controlled ,consult your family doctor for prednisolone.
glandular fever(infectious mononucleosis) is a viral fever not controlled by antibiotic(phenoxymethyl),antibiotics are given only in bacterial infection.
it is a self limited disease can take weeks or long.
avoid alcohol.
take plenty of water & rest.
take care.
