My husband is having a serious urgency problem but does little peeing when he tries to go. Getting worse all the time. He does also have a long history of kidney stones , surgeries etc. Is there an over the counter medincine that can help relieve the urgency? He has just this week been cleared of any infections. General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that his symptoms may be due to enlargement or inflammation or infection of his prostate.

Physical examination of the abdomen and prostate, urine tests and blood tests to check infection and the PSA are needed to determine if this is the case.

Treatment would depend on the diagnosis found.

I hope this helps
