Suggest Opinion About Arthritis Pain And STD

Had unprotected sex 20 yrs ago and myself and my expartner have arthritus and bone health problems, suspect a rare sexually transmitted disease, can u advise? Person I slept with did tell me at the time something about having a disease and I may have contracted it-after sex with him that is! I have had arthritus for 15 yrs, was diagnosed as osteo but recently dr suggested it may be rhematoid but havent had bloodtest to check rhematoid factor. Only remembered recently about the incident but I know the person I slept with has had arthritus type symptoms. I am in my 40's, 2 stone overweight, 5'2", apart from liver problems believe I am hitting the menopause because classic hormonal symptoms-sweats, forgetting words, weepiness etc.
don't know what else u need to know but am concerned about the arthritus pain.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
There is no such STD by which you can get arthritis like pain. So you should be assure about that. I would recommend you to get following test to check cause of your arthritis.
CRP, Ra factor, ESR and BMD test.
If you are having Ra factor positive than treatment should be DMARD drugs like HCQ, SAAZ , and Methotrexate.
If you are also having osteoprosis than you should take Calcium and Vitmin D3.
I hope these steps will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
