Hi Dr. I am taking medication for high blood pressure,, they are metoprolol, Klor-con M20 tablet, and clonidine hcl 0.2 and want to start taking herbal vitman like oat extract ect. can u give me some advice as to what herb s I can take to help in lowering my blood pressure??

1.Weight loss is one of the most effective lifestyle changes for controlling blood pressure
2.Regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes most days of the week)
3.Eat a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products.
4.Seduction in the salt in diet can reduce blood pressure.
5.Limit the amount of alcohol you drink.
6.Stop smoking
7.stress can contribute to high blood pressure(try to reduce it)
