I am almost 27 years old and I weigh 314 lbs at 5'4. I know I am morbidly overweight. I am currently changing my eating habits using an app MyFitnessPal for the iPhone and it helps me out tremendously. I have capped my caloric intake at 1500 calories a day and it seems to be working. On top of that I try to walk three times a week, but do Punch, Kick, Jam (TurboJam) for 48 mins as often as I can. My ideal weight is of course under 200 lbs., but is 180 lbs. a good target weight? Am I doing enough to ensure a healthier body? Thanks!

Try to eat a high protein diet with cheese, egg, cottage cheese, milk chicken, fish and less carbohydrates such as bread, rice, cookies, spaghetti, desserts. So you will not lose muscles mass ( which is important) but you will lose fat mass. Try to exercise as much as you can. You can do it and when you see results you will love it. Best regards.
