my name is annette. i have high cholesterlo.and im type 2 dib. and i have high blood press. a ticking time bomb i say everything ok except cholesterlo. how can i contro it and is slimfast ok to do.ps dr. put me on crestor 10mg today.will i be ok and do i have a chance of livin with all that is wrong with me

Hello,
High cholesterol and high blood pressure in a diabetes raises the risk of cerebrovascular accidents multifold.
It is very essential to control all three and can be done very effectively by judicious choice of medications and lifestyle modifications in form of proper dietary control and regular aerobic exercises.
Your doctor has rightly given Crestor to you for proper control of your cholesterol levels.
Your goal should be to bring BP below 120/80 LDL cholesterol below 80 and triglycerides below 150.
Similarly keep a proper control of b,pod sugar levels.
