Hi Doc

My triglycerides are 663 and i have been taking lovaza 4 gms per day, i am scheduled to have another blood work on 15th july. do you think i would ever be able to stop taking medicine and control my triglycerides normally. I have lost 16 pounds in less than a month. I weighed 206 lbs on 10th june this year and i have to reach 170 lbs. Overall cholestrol is normal and HDL is 30. hello,I have gone through your question. Thanks for using HCM.I can understand your concern about high triglycerides.i would suggest you to start Tab.Fenifibrate to control your triglycerides in consultation with your treating doctor..you also need to raise your HDL .you must go for brisk walk daily for 30 to 40 minutes .you should accept medication for life time.
my best wishes
