Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my six month old had his pneumoccocal shot yesterday afternoon and had a fever of 38.3 this morning for which we gave him 2.5ml of paracetamolB.P.125mg. He hasnot had a fever since. Do I need to give him another dose in anticipation of fever during the night.
the fever is a predicted n normal response to vaccination. he wont need another dose but another dose wont do any harm. so would advise u to check his fever before going to sleep, if there is low grade fever go ahead n give the same dose ie 2.5 ml if not go for half the dose, thanx
