Hi. Sir i m getting rashes on my two legs i m suffering from last 2 years.i have consult da skin specialist. He given me a medicine (desloratadine).for 1year.and i used a medicine for two months.he told its urticaria.but using of 2months medicine i m perfectly ok. But again i msuffering.plzzz suggest me what i have to do?and wich medicine i have to take now.?thank u.
Urticaria can be a chronic condition in some patients, which means it may come back. It is a good thing desloratadine is working and you may need to use it long term. Also, you may need to do some skin tests to rule out an allergic reaction to a certain food or chemical as the trigger to this skin rash. If an allergic reaction towards a certain agent is identified, it is important that you do your best to avoid being in contact with that agent (food or chemical).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
