Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query are clearly indicating ' sunburn ' also known as 'melnoma' .
The sun act as a trigger factor for melanocytes to produce melanin pigment that causes dark spots .
The severely burned skin appears dry and scaly.
I would suggest you to :-
- Give cold compresses to skin for 10 minutes twice a day .
- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 which going ouside in sun exposure .
- Apply KOJIC ACID cream twice a day for one month .
- use face wash with
benzoyl peroxide as a ingredients .
- Take over the counter anti allergic like benadryl.
If condition persist for more then a month . Then
consult dermatologist for proper evaluation and rule out causes like
skin infection or
allergic reaction .
Doctor may prescribe
hydroquinone or teritenoin cream. He/she may also prescribe antibiotics course or recommend procedure like dermabrassion for dark spots .
hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
