HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for chronic diarrhea eg(1) irritable bowel syndrome
(2) hyperthyroidism (high levels of thyroid hormone), diabetes
(3)inflammatory bowel disease eg crohns and ulcerative colitis
(4)infection
(5)side effect of medication
(6) food intolerance or lactose intolerance

Chronic diarrhea is a cause of fecal incontinence (stool coming out without realizing it) though there are other causes.

A stool sample should be sent to the lab to check for infection. Blood tests for the thyroid and to check for inflammation can also be done.
If there is no obvious cause then additional tests may be needed.

Your doctor would need to examine your abdomen as well

I hope this helps
