I really appreciate your concern, IBS it self is psychological condition, if your grandmother is passing the stool four to five times in day then this is normal frequency, only the hydration need to be watched, stop all the medicine, and in my opinion the stool examination is advisable to rule out the possibility of infection, have a nice day.
